THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BUFFALO SOLDIERS & TROOPERS MOTORCYCLE CLUBS (NABSTMC)

The history of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Clubs (NABSTMC) began with a dream; in this case, the dream of Ken 'Dream Maker' Thomas. Believing that it was time to establish a modern progressive motorcycle club whose focus was to promote a positive image among Blacks that would be respected in the community and throughout the country, Thomas founded the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Chicago in October 1993 and later chartered as the Buffalo Troopers of Chicago. The Georgia chapter was started by Frank "Renegade" Styles in 1999. The Georgia chapter proudly "Ride, Educate and Serve in the Atlanta metropolitan area and abroad. The name Buffalo Soldiers was initially selected to pay homage to and ensure the legacy of African American military contributions in the post-Civil War era. His dream has grown to over 100 chapters strong and is now chartered as The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club.

Our Colors represent a long history and we wear them with pride and respect. Our Colors pay homage to African Americans of the 9th and 10th Calvary who sacrificed their lives so that our country could be what it is today. They are a badge of courage, sacrifice and honor as are those who continue to serve.

The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers & Troopers Motorcycle Club (N.A.B.S.T.M.C) is an organization of professional men and women that are dedicated to the sport of motorcycle riding and safety. We ride our motorcycles [Iron Horses] to represent the horses that were ridden by the Buffalo Soldiers during the 1800's. Our objective is to educate those that are unfamiliar with the racism, sacrifices and hardships that the Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th U.S. Cavalries had to endure. Our vision is to instill this knowledge into the minds and hearts of our youth of today so that we can motivate them to become better citizens and leaders of tomorrow.
